WHO KNOW THE SUFFERINGS

WHO KNOW THE SUFFERINGS

Braving the hot mid-summer noon

An exhausted toil, daylong binds

Head reels by the hot gush of winds

While stomach feels the hunger pains

Who knows the immense suffering?

No one to guide or no one to take care

Left to fate, ekes out life as a rag picker

Roaming on the streets, like a child beggar

Orphaned, can someone douse his hunger

Who knows the immense suffering?

Ill-fated parched lands, unfit to cultivate

Drought threw the victims on roads of fate

Vengeful sky devoid of clouds burn with hate

Bone-sucked, anyone can judge their plight

Who knows the immense suffering?

Ravaged by hostilities, everything is lost

Forlorn and frightful with all dear ones lost

The oasis of peace, yes is a hope in deceit

Day after day, a dawn of uncertainty greets

Who knows the immense suffering?
